With the hype and anticipation of The Force Awakens done and dusted, the next celluloid space opera flings fans and folks back to a parallel prequel to A New Hope, reeling in the afterburners-glow of George Lucas’ trilogy of prequels, to before the Death Star rumbled it’s death ray, laying waste to Alderaan!
And while I’d enjoyed Gareth Edwards’ GODZILLA, I was looking forward to his take on ROGUE ONE, not expecting any less of seeing
The earlier trailers have been, well, “entertaining” to say the least, providing a decent amount of hype to come for this 8th film in the Star Wars-lore.
Then THIS trailer dropped, and as I watched in earnest, with eyes brimming with tears of anticipation (or maybe t’was the anaesthetic wearing off and the gap where my tooth used to be a scant two hours ago …).
Jane’s dad is revealed to be vital in the construction of the Death Star. The call-sign is called. The rebel girl is rousing the rebels, and a semblance of a story forms, and I cannot wait til December comes, for when ROGUE ONE premiers December 16th in the USA, and Dec 15th in Singapore.
